OG Yields hosts Missouri’s Medical Marijuana Director and regulators for an exclusive glass greenhouse tour and conversation — Greenway Magazine

AND income, one of the fastest growing licensed medical marijuana companies in Missouri, welcomed us on Wednesday, May 2.
Located in the Ozark Mountains in scenic rural Maries County, the visit supports the company’s commitment to ongoing cannabis education and training, as well as an opportunity to discuss the regulatory and policy implications for Missouri operators, patients and communities.
“We appreciated the opportunity to visit this state-of-the-art grow facility that is sure to have a positive economic impact on a small mid-Missouri community,” said Lyndall Fraker, director of the Medical Marijuana Regulation Section. “It is rewarding to see the Missourians in person who are working with great integrity to run this program for patients – part of one of Missouri’s newest industries.”
The 40,000 square foot facility is one of the most efficient air-conditioned cannabis growing facilities in the country. It has LED lights, a central fertigation system, cannabis-specific HVAC units, and most importantly, diffused glass. The modern sealed glass greenhouse uses diffuse glass as opposed to polycarbonate for greater light transmission and limited shade to give plants the full spectrum of sunlight that science has so far been able to mimic. The result is plants with increased overall complexity, THC and terpene content.
According to the CEO of OG Yields Nick RinellaThe department host was received with excitement, not stress. “Our priority right now is caring for patients in Missouri and the United States Community We are blessed to call home. Given the many unforeseen challenges that COVID-19 brings, we are working diligently to meet regulatory requirements, support our local economy, and serve our customers in the best possible way. Visiting the department was a great opportunity to learn about the constantly changing environment and meet the great people at the heart of our business. “
“As a seasoned cannabis operator and beverage retailer, I understand the tremendous pressure faced by today’s licensees as they struggle with compressed margins from supply chain issues, rising compliance costs and a new generation of competitors,” added Rinella. “This latest example of partnership underscores the state’s willingness to engage in dialogue with licensees. As an industry, let’s work together to increase efficiency and reduce the cost of the compliance process. We can shift our valuable resources into revenue-generating functions. “
Missouri’s medical marijuana program reached a significant milestone in May 2021, with more than 100,000 active patients and caregivers approved to use and purchase medical cannabis. The state plans to approve a total of 192 pharmacies nationwide. Missouri patients will have more access than any of the other 19 states with similar legalization programs, just behind Oklahoma.
The state visit comes shortly after the company announced the appointment of the branding expert and tech co-founder Lindsay Lockhart as Director of Brand and Retail, where she oversees the marketing, digital and branding efforts of OG Yields.
