Governor DeWine cancels the mask mandate: Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced Monday that in order to comply with federal guidelines, Ohioans are only required to wear masks in certain situations. Andy Chow of the Statehouse News Bureau reports that people need to be fully vaccinated in order to dispose of the face coverings. According to DeWine, people still have to wear masks in hospitals, on public transport, in businesses in need of masks, in schools, and in places where many people are not vaccinated. This is only to fill the gap between now and the time the orders are expected to be canceled on June 2nd.

Medical marijuana conditions in New Ohio: The Associated Press reports that members of an Ohio medical panel added three conditions to the purchase of medical marijuana. Now, people with chronic headaches, arthritis, and complex regional pain syndrome fall into the category of pain required to legally ignite. A doctor must make a recommendation that someone is eligible to buy weeds under the law. It has been more than a year and more than 150,000 people have bought medical marijuana in Ohio since then.
