OKFB shares medical marijuana impacts on producers with DTN/Progressive Farmer
1 min readOklahoma Farm Bureau President Rodd Moesel recently shared concerns of farmers and ranchers with Oklahoma’s fast-growing medical marijuana DTN / Progressive Farmer Story.
Many manufacturers are concerned about the industry’s impact on private property rights, rural power and water capacity, and critical pesticide and fertilizer applications, Moesel said.
“Many things that people talk about as solutions can take away farmers’ rights,” said Moesel. “We’re trying to be really careful. We don’t want to take long-term measures for short-term problems. “
OKFB joined a Task Force along with other government agricultural organizations to review and address issues farmers and ranchers face.
