The Home Resources Committee Approved expense statements and accompanying reports that include marijuana-related protections for immigrants and military veterans, and instructions to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration to ease hemp and CBD restrictions.
The North Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee approved a medical cannabis law. It is the first time comprehensive medical marijuana legislation has been pushed through the state legislature.
Activists from Austin, Texas announced a campaign to put a measure to decriminalize marijuana on the November ballot paper. Their press conference was held next to a statue of local cannabis icon Willie Nelson.
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf (D) signed a medical marijuana expansion law that continues policies enacted during the coronavirus pandemic – such as roadside delivery, telemedicine, and increased ownership restrictions, among others.

The South Dakota The Ministry of Public Security issued guidelines instructing police not to arrest anyone for medicinal cannabis within certain limits. Separately, Regulators publishes a list of qualification requirements for the program.
Oregon The legislature sent Governor Kate Brown (D) a invoice Improving access to harm reduction and treatment services under the state’s Voter-approved Drug Decriminalization Act, among other related changes.
California The Senate minority leader calls for “a nationwide approach to ending illegal marijuana cultivation.”
Washington Regulators sent out a notice regarding the expiration of some COVID policies for marijuana businesses on July 31, including approving curb service and walk-up windows.
Alaska Regulators proposed rules for badges used by marijuana business workers.
Nevada Regulators will be considering changes to marijuana rules on July 27th.

Minnehaha County, Lincoln County, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota Officials will no longer arrest or prosecute minor marijuana offenses, given the impact medical cannabis legalization will have on law enforcement’s ability to distinguish between legal and illegal marijuana.

One review concluded that “overall cannabis had an overall reduction in PTSD Symptoms and improvement [quality of life] but that “dry mouth, headache and psychoactive effects such as arousal and euphoria were the most commonly reported side effects” and that “cannabis was well tolerated in most studies, but a small proportion of patients experienced worsening of PTSD symptoms”.
