Press release from the Sheriff’s Office of Humboldt County:

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office issued (7) seven search warrants on (7) seven separate lots. The search warrants covered the commercial cultivation of marijuana in over 40 separate large greenhouse structures on the properties. The search warrants were issued on properties on Hogtrap Road and South Face Road in Island Mountain. The search warrants were served from Monday, June 22, 2015 to Thursday, June 25, 2015. There were no suspects on the packages.

The Sheriff’s Office seized or deleted the following items from search warrants:

The MPs documented the illegal dumping of rubbish, the inadmissible classification of land and the diversion of water on the (7) properties. MPs are working with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Services in their investigation to identify the owners and suspects involved in the environmental damage on the properties. The Sheriff’s Office will submit its reports to the Humboldt District Attorney for review and possible criminal charges against the suspects involved in this commercial marijuana cultivation.

An (8) eighth search warrant was served by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office on property in the Inselgebirge. A female subject was contacted and was growing approximately (50) marijuana plants on her property. After the investigation, it was found that she complied with the guidelines for medical marijuana in the state of California.
