Libertyville trustees approve cannabis sales in effort ‘to be good financial stewards’

Village trustee Scott Adams, who also heads the Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills Chamber of Commerce, said during the August 10 session that Mundelein’s largest source of sales tax is the cannabis dispensary Thrive Mundelein. Mundelein officials said in the past the cannabis sales tax helped the village’s finances during the coronavirus pandemic.
