Woman wins federal lawsuit filed over medical marijuana processing center

A Sewickley woman won her lawsuit against a Canadian medical marijuana company for stealing her intellectual property. Denise Mueller is the founder of the Laurel Management Group. Mueller sued White Sheep Corporation in Canada after asking to partner with their company. The lawsuit says they would jointly apply for a permit to build a medical marijuana grow and processor using Mueller’s credentials. Her attorney said the Pennsylvania medical marijuana permit would be valued at $ 25 million. “I was very disappointed and had the feeling that things should have been done differently, but unfortunately business is business,” said Mueller. Laurel Management Group says in the lawsuit that White Sheep had sneaky motives from the start. ”Laurel Management gave White Sheep a lot of information that it has developed over the years and we believe they have taken it and for their own benefit “said Trent Echard, civil litigation attorney. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 requested a comment from the White Sheep Corporation without receiving a response.” We believe they never had any intention of working with Laurel Management. The Management Group won the lawsuit and was awarded $ 2.1 million.

Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 requested a comment from the White Sheep Corporation without receiving a response.

“We believe they never intended to work with Laurel Management. They basically walked alone and ended up cutting bait, ”Echard said.

Laurel Management Group won the lawsuit and was awarded $ 2.1 million.
